Anyone use ground chicken? I just bought some last week. Never have tried it before but I'm finding some recipies online that sound really good.

you can use it in any recipe that calls for ground beef or ground turkey. you ought to get chicken breast though and have the butcher grind it for oyou. otherwise, like with much ground turkey, you'll get way too much fat as they adsd it to the packaged kind to make it look and stick better together.

I tried it in tacos last night and it was really pretty good.

actually i prefer it to ground turkey. when it cooks it doesn't have that nasty smell of the turkey bird

Yeah I think its something that I would eat again. Sometimes I really like trying different things.

if you are going to make tacos, you can get ground soy that is very much in texture like the beef. when the seasonings and stuff are put on it you can't tell the difference.

I tried ground chicken for homemade chicken patties, I bought boneless skinless breasts and thighs on sale and ground the meat in my food processor, don't do this is a blender as you'll get a sticky mass instead of ground meat. The patties were delicious they required a bit more seasoning than hamburger patties. I'm no fan of ground turkey either also because of the smell. It doesn't combine well with many seasonings in ground form for some reason.

abgg, you are my hero. i am glad to know womeone else who shares my feelings about ground turkey. it just makes me mad and wanting the real ground beef. if we use 93% lean it is about the same and certainly tastier.

ground anything ain't for me. I don't like the smallness and the nitty-gritty feel of it. and it doesn't taste as strong and as good as say ungrounded stuff. you could make that a lot tastier.
